There is no doubt that hope is something that we all need in life. Why? Because there are times when we have to go through dark valleys in life. There are times when our situation seems hopeless.
In such a time, more than anything else, we need hope. We need to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Fortunately, there is good news for you: you do have hope in Christ. You do have the light at the end of the tunnel. This is what the Bible says in 1 Peter 1:3:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
The verse says that – through the resurrection of Christ – you are now born again to a living hope. That’s great news! Any form of hopelessness is in the past; you now have a living hope in Christ!
Life’s difficulties might make you forget this truth, but the truth remains. No matter how difficult your situation is, you have hope in Christ.
But remember that you can only find true hope in Christ. If you put your hope on wealth, it’s temporary. If you put your hope on your ability, it’s limited. If you put your hope on any other person, they are also limited. Only in Christ can you find true, living hope.
I’d like to close with this verse:
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Rome 15:13)
