Have you ever felt weary in your life? I have. In such a time, you might feel like you work hard but get nothing in return. You might feel tired and frustrated.
Fortunately, the Scripture gives us a solution. We can read it in Isaiah 40:30-31:
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
These verses show that the key to not being weary is waiting on God. If you wait on God, your strength will be renewed. You will mount up with wings like eagles. You will walk and not faint.
What does waiting on God mean?
It means that you don’t try to do things with your own strength. Instead, you put your trust in God and wait for Him to open the way for you. You must do your part, of course, but then you wait on God to do His part. You don’t take everything into your own hands.
This is the key to living life with renewed strength. This is the key to living life without being weary. Isaiah 30:15 says:
For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
Do you put your confidence in God? Or do you put it in your own abilities?
Make sure that you put your confidence in God, and wait on Him in quietness. If you do, your strength will be renewed. You will run and not be weary.
